What an amazing last day! The sun is still shining and there is plenty of snow. It has not snowed all week and it is lucky the snow has not melted.
The week has gone really quickly. It seems like it was only yesterday we were getting on the coach outside school at 3.30am.
All of the ski instructors have commented on how well all of the pupils have behaved on the slopes. They have asked me to pass on their good wishes and thanks. They said that they have never had such a nice polite and well mannered group of pupils. They have been respectful and are a credit to their parents and the school. Like I said yesterday, this is the nicest group of pupils I have ever had the pleasure of taking away.
As I am sure you have seen on the videos, the quality of the skiing has been amazing. The pupils have performed so well. All of them have progressed to a more than respectable standard. Dan (the instructor of the intermediate group) skied with the advanced group for a short time yesterday and he said that its a good job Adrian (who is an ex member of the Scottish race team) was their instructor as even he struggled to keep up with them. Both of the other groups have also surpassed expectations. The middle group have done some exceptionally difficult black runs and the beginners group are going down red runs for fun!
What an amazing week. Thanks for allowing us to take such a wonderful group of children away. Myself, Phil and Jayne are exceptionally proud of them.
So proud as a parent to read your comments as Im sure everyone else is. Its thanks to teachers such as yourselves who are prepared to take the children away and give them the opportunity to undertake activities that some may not ordinarily get the chance to do. The blog has been fantastic and we've looked forward to sharing the experience with you all. If were honest though , it will be nice to have our boy back.
